Kids! Time for some pure Disney fun! Gather your drawing stationery as your gear up to give shape to the extremely charming, lovable and happy-go-lucky cartoon, Goofy.
Step 1: Draw the connected ovals, the upper ones split in the middle, perched on top of a V-shaped structure. They act as guides for the head, body and legs.
Step 2: Sketch zig-zag lines for guiding the arms. The guides for the limbs end in ovals.
Step 3: Start shaping the upper part of the head along with the eyes.
Step 4: The mouth is sketched open showing off a little of the semicircular tongue and a couple of teeth.
Step 5: The round nose and pupils come next.
Step 6: Who can miss the famous hat? Off you go with creating the fedora shaped like a dog bone.
Step 7: Now comes the time to draw the pair of slender, drooping ears that has been many a kid’s fantasy.
Step 8: The hand to the left is now drawn complete with the over-sized gloves. Note the definition of the turtle neck.
Step 9: The loose jacket covering his body should be drawn carefully with all the folds.
Step 10: The right hand rests comfortably on his hip forming a cool V-shape.
Step 11: A double band at the waist signifies the start of the baggy pants.
Step 12: His legs are defined to be set wide apart in the pants.
Step 13: The right shoe with a big bulge at the front contrasts the thin build of his body.
Step 14: The sketch is complete with the left side leg drawn. Erase the guides.
Step 15: Give the funny character a bright palette of colors to make it look lively.
This one is going to keep the kids glued to their canvases for hours till they get the perfect “Goofy” shape. The funny face along with the awesome posture makes for a memorable drawing experience.
