A spider never fails to arouse the curiosity of little ones. Their eight legs distinguish them from insects. Children love the Incy Wincy Spider, don’t they? So, there is enough reason to think that they would be very excited about this drawing exercise. Simple guides assist in getting the shape of the creature right.
Step 1: Draw two overlapping ovals as the guides for the body.
Step2: Sketch curved lines as the guides for the forelegs and the fangs.
Step 3: The guides for the hind legs go downwards.
Step 4: Detail the body.
Step 5: Make the jointed fangs.
Step 6: Draw the first pair of the jointed foreleg.
Step 7: Sketch the second pair of forelegs similarly.
Step 8: Make the first pair of jointed hind legs.
Step 9: Shape the second pair of jointed hind legs similarly.
Step 10: Draw the two spinnerets at the back of the creature.
Step 11: Color it gray.
This would be a fulfilling activity for kids. Simple curved lines and oval-like structures comprise it. You can engage them in this exercise in the run-up to Halloween. After drawing, they can cut the drawing out and use it for Halloween decorations too.
