Kangaroos, living principally in the open grasslands of Australia, are the largest animal to use the hopping movement pattern. Their close association with the Australian landscape and wildlife has made them the unofficial symbol of the country, earning them a place in the Australian coat of arms as well as on some of the country’s currencies.
The most curious part of a kangaroo’s life is how the females care for their babies, as they go through the major part of their development within their mothers’ pouch. The baby kangaroos, commonly called joyes, remain in the pouch for around six months before they climb out of it to take care of themselves.
The following collection of unique printable Kangaroo coloring pages is a nice way to introduce your kids to these intriguing animals, their habitat and life cycle. The collection also features popular kangaroo cartoon characters from kids’ shows.
